This is the first reptile related "mook" published in Japan.
I think the word "MOOK" is odd to you. I think this word is Japanese made English and is only used in Japan. MOOK is a combined word of "Magazine" and a "bOOK". It looks like a Magazine but it will be treated like a book.
It will have ISBN code and will not disappear in 2 months. It will be sold continiously and also will be in Libraries too. So I think it is different from something you call "Magazine". But it comes out bi-monthly and consumer may think it a Magazine. And DRACO is a "MOOK".
We want to push up DRACO to a somekind of scientific magazine of reptiles.
We don't want to make "Lovely lovely cutie pet book".
Our destination is serious one like "Scientific American Reptile version".
This is our DRACO concept. We think that keeping a reptile is a science.
We are going to educate people through this mook and help saving many animals.
DRACO II is comming soon. It will be a special issue about tortoises and will be 144 pages. So stay tuned.
